It doesn’t matter if you coach little league or are a coach for a major league baseball team; you have to have the right attitude and know how to work with others to build a better team. While you may have experience in team building and relationships classes if you are a coach of a professional team, all of that can be put to use on any type of sports team no matter how small or what type it is.

For a team to function as a cohesive group, there has to be a sense of conraderie and personal relationship status. A team cannot support each other if they feel as if they are not part of the whole picture. It is important to build a spirit of comraderie and the team has to feel that each individual is as important as the other. While your sports team may have a star player, if the others do not feel as important or inferior, they won’t work as well and the entire team will suffer.

While it is basic knowledge that most everyone wants praise for their work, it is important to keep that in mind when working with children. As a coach for a professional team you may want to use praise when it is called for but with children it may be necessary to use it more often because these children are developing skills that will last a lifetime. This doesn’t mean you should coddle your team but it does mean that you need to give credit when credit is due.

When you play any kind of game, be it during the training stage or during the actual game itself, you need to play the game first. When you start out playing the game in your mind, you can visualize what is going to happen before it does. You can see all kinds of different possibilities for the game, and all manner of different ways the game can end up going. When you play this way, the game becomes downright easy for you to win.

Winning any kind of event comes down to more than just physical conditioning. It ultimately comes down to what’s in your mind. How you think about the game, and what you think about pertaining to the game, are ultimately what will determine how successful you are in any kind of athletic pursuit. As the old saying goes, thoughts are things. When you play the game in your head first, victory is all but assured from the beginning. You want it the most, and you most thoroughly imagine winning. From there, you just have to actually do it.

Playing the game in your head before you play it on the field or the court might sound like just something people do when they’re sitting on a mat in the lotus position- food for flakes, basically. But every study that has ever been done on visualization confirms that its effects are extremely real. In fact, when a person “practices” in their mind, they are shown to improve at a given activity almost as much as people who practice in real life do. When you practice winning, winning will become your most powerful habit.

One of the biggest responsibilities of a coach is keeping your team motivated to give one hundred percent every game and every practice. Some days, this task is easy while other days keeping your team on task is nearly impossible.

Motivate your team by using praise when a team member performs well. Use phrases like “way to go” and “awesome job.” This positive reinforcement will make that team member want to perform well again and will also make team mates want to earn your praise. Recognize good work in front of the entire team at team meetings and by mentioning good work during press interviews.

Set challenging goals to further motivate your team. At the start of season, list the ultimate goal for the year, like winning championships or winning X amount of games. Keep that goal somewhere in the locker room for the team to read daily throughout the season. Set improvement goals for each player to improve performance, and goals for the team like doing better on defense or performing better in certain areas. Write all of the goals down and give reports about how well the team is doing throughout the year to keep players motivated and directed to constant improvement.

A coach must learn how to reach his team to keep the team motivated and on task. Motivation can be challenging sometimes, but with a plan of attack, motivating the team comes easier. Some strategies include writing down goals and giving positive reinformcement for a solid performance.

Volunteering sports coaching to the younger generation can be one of the most rewarding experiences for you. The age of youngsters is one of the most critical stages of their life where they undergo several physical and mental developments. It is a privilege to get a chance to coach and mentor the youth. It becomes a responsibility of the youth sports coach to understand the mental state of the players. It is crucial for a coach to realize that his sayings can have life-long positive or negative impacts on the player.

Youngsters are often very aggressive and it requires a lot of patience to deal with them. There is nothing wrong when a coach expresses his displeasure with the wrong deed of a player as long as it is done in a professional manner. However, the important point here is that if you are telling a player about his mistakes; always make sure that you also tell that player about the positive development in him/her, if any. If a player always hears negative comments and criticism from you, he will stop trusting and listening to you.

Patience is the main key for becoming a successful youth sports coach. You should always stop and think before you speak anything in front of your players. No matter how angry and displeased you are, wrong words from you can do irreparable damage. This can have opposite effect on your team and all the efforts you had put in might just go in vain. Remember, you represent your team and it is your responsibility to teach them to be calm and composed at all the circumstances.

When you’re first beginning to get involved in sports, one of the first things to decide is whether you want to play a team sport, or an individual sport. As you might imagine, much of the answer to this question will stem from your own personality. Think about the types of things you like to do that aren’t related to sports. Take work projects, for example. If you find that you thrive in a team environment that requires collaboration and the support of others, you may find it simple and enjoyable to transfer those feelings onto a playing field. On other other hand, many people do their best work when they are alone. These are often the people that are said to have a “type A” personality, have huge amounts of personal motivation and do not have difficulty being productive without the urging of others.

Keep in mind that no matter if you choose to devote yourself to team sports or individual sports, you aren’t necessarily confining yourself as much as you might think. When you are competing in individual competitions, you’ll often notice that you see the same people at each competitive opportunity, especially if you are at the local and regional level. You can easily become friends with these other people who share your involvement in the sport, and use them as a source of support. And, if you pick a team-based sport, you will often be practicing and conditioning your body on your own time, hitting the gym and lifting weights, outside of just practicing with your teammates on the field. Finally, keep in mind that it’s okay to experiment with a few sports before making a commitment.

Deciding to get involved in coaching youth sports is a far-reaching choice because it requires you to be committed to both the sport, and the team members. If you go about things in the right way though, it can be an extremely rewarding endeavour. Often, you’ll be making a lasting impression on your team, and helping them develop skills that will benefit them throughout their whole lives.

In order to be an effective coach, ideally you’ll be familiar with all rules and regulations that govern the game. It’s also good if you have played the sport at some time yourself, so that you have first-hand experience to offer the players. Whether you are on the field or off, whenever you are in the presence of your team, it’s important to conduct yourself in a way that is encouraging as well as inspiring. In order to help your team succeed, you’ll need to know what makes them tick, and that often means that you’ll wear many hats besides just being a coach. In addition to helping your team stay in top physical condition, you’ll also have to attend to their emotional state, which often takes a beating after particularly tough losses.

Also, you must have a full realization that your team will inevitably hit some rough patches that result in them not working as cohesively as they could. When these times occur, it will be to your advantage if you’re able to speak to the team in an honest, straightforward way, so during the extent of your coaching time, during good times and bad, encourage your team to come to discuss matters with you any time that they feel concerned.

If you’re looking for something to help you stay active in your spare time, you may want to consider joining an intermural sports team. This type of team has several advantageous, but one of the most attractive benefits, particularly to people who are trying to add sports involvement to an already busy schedule is the fact that intermural sports do not require team members to travel out of state to practice or compete.

To take your interest in joining in a team to the next level, start by checking with your local gyms to see if they offer any intermural teams that are of interest. If that doesn’t produce any satisfying results, also check with the Parks and Recreation Department in your area, and finally, if you have any college campuses in your area, see if they offer anything you’re interested in. Although the latter option sometimes requires you to be a student of the university in order to compete, this is not always the case, so don’t be afraid to ask so you’re clear on all the rules before you sign up.

Once you’ve found a great intermural team, you can ask your friends and coworkers if they’re interested in playing along with you. If you’re part of a big office staff, you might even be able to form an entire team that is only made up of people that you work with. When it’s time to for your first competitive event, keep a positive attitude no matter how things turn out in the end. Remember that you’re there to have fun and be supportive of your teammates. Winning isn’t everything, and sometimes winning comes in more forms than just the most obvious ones.

Teams are only as strong as their weakest link and the last thing a coach wants is to be the weakest like in his or her team. Therefore, creating a cohesive game plan that stresses the strengths of a coaches team is the most effective way to prepare and have a team ready for whatever the competition has. Everyone has watched a game with a team of stars who looks like they are out there for themselves while the coach tries frantically to piece them all back together. Each opponent must be prepared for differently because no team is the same. Here are a few tips to creating a winning game plan.

Creating a Cohesive Game Plan

1. Know Thyself and Opponent- In the Art of War, one of the first rules is that if someone does not know themselves and their opponent they will surely fail. This is true for sports as well. Simply knowing another teams strengths and weaknesses is only half the battle, but knowing what a coaches team can do as well, will ensure that the game plan not only stresses one teams strengths but plays them against the other teams weaknesses.

2. Start Early- Preparing early and often is the most effective way to ensure a good showing. Giving athletes the chance to understand and comprehend an opponents style of play or strengths will help them to succeed. The coach cannot simply study the opponent and expect to move players around like chess pieces. The players must also be able to understand why certain tactics are working or not.

3. React- Sometimes the best game plan is to scrap the old game plan and react to whatever the opponent is doing. Being fluid and adaptable as coach is just as important as it is for players.

Creative a good game plan means looking at both sides of the competition and reacting to whatever happens. Coaches who refuse to adapt usually end up losing their jobs.

If you’re seeking a new activity for your child, there are many great reasons to consider helping them get involved in sports. Whether they ultimately become involved in team sports or individual competitions, they will learn life skills such as commitment, dedication, motivation techniques and self-control. Furthermore, involvement in sports contributes to an overall healthy lifestyle. Medical experts recommend that people engage in at least thirty minutes of rigorous exercise per day. If your child is involved in sports, there’s a very good chance that their practice will last much longer than this amount of time, so they’ll be staying active without even having to take more time out of the day. Sports activities also help to increase a healthy body image in both boys and girls.

Sports can also help to foster a great work ethic too. The nature of sports encourages the act of working towards a goal and seeing it through to completion. Furthermore, kids learn to be satisfied with the outcome, whether it is good or bad, as long as they know they’ve given it their all.

Finally, sports can give your kids a variety of strong role models from both sexes to look up to for inspiration throughout life. However, do keep in mind that if you do choose to help your child pursue a passion for sports, you have a certain commitment to uphold as well, including helping your child get to and from practices, and even helping them to buy equipment and uniforms. Make sure that you are aware of all the costs involved right from the very beginning. Fortunately, you may be able to buy some equipment used, and if you’re having trouble getting your child to all the necessary practice sessions, you may be able to arrange for them to be part of a car pool.

One of the most lucrative activities on the Internet today is sports betting. Countless millions partake in it every year, and many come out winners. But to most people, the activity, while sounding fun, is a mystery. Even if they wish to partake in the fun, inexperienced bettors ask themselves the following questions:

Where can I find reputable places to make sports bets?

How does a bookie make money?

Both of these questions are quite valid and are asked by everyone who has ever started sports betting. One of the easiest options for placing bets has only been around since 1996 or so. It involves placing bets at online sports betting sites. These websites can be easily accessed from any computer with Internet access and are typically the easiest way anyone can place a sports bet.

When deciding which website to bet with, there are certain precautions you should take, especially if you are about to place a large bet. Make sure the website you are dealing with is well respected and has a high volume of return customers. You can check online betting forums and chat rooms to find websites that are recommended and that are easy to navigate.

Reputable sports betting sites are just like real life bookies. They try to get an even number of wagers for both sides of any bet. Theoretically, this allows the house to come out ahead with commission payments, regardless of who wins. However, having a completely even number of wagers is rare, and most bookies must adjust the odds or have a point spread to be able to balance the “book.”

By offering odds wagers for the team not favored, sports betting websites are more likely to make a more balanced spread. Regardless of how much or how often you bet, remember to never wager more than you can lose. That way you can get some satisfaction regardless of the outcome.

Choosing a gym is a very important consideration. Whether you are an athlete looking to improve your game, or simply looking to stay in shape and live a healthier lifestyle, once you choose a gym, you could potentially be spending several hours per week there, so it is important that you’re happy with your ultimate choice.

First, figure out if you can afford a gym membership. When you are searching for gyms in your area, be sure to ask them to give you an idea of what you can expect for all the overall fees that you will pay each month, whether that means you will be paying an enrollment fee, adding on additional costs for personal training services or training sessions, or just paying a monthly rate as dictated by your contract, if applicable. Most gyms will require users to enter into a contractual agreement. If this is the case for you, be sure to find out of the rate has the potential to increase with the frequency of your attendance, or if you can depend on the rate amount to stay steady.

It would also be a good idea to take a gym tour. Before you do so, make a list of things that are important to you. If you like to get your workouts in on a certain piece of equipment, or perhaps are looking to play some team sport activities at the gym, make sure that your gym of choice offers these options to you. If they do not, either agree to make a compromise, or look elsewhere.

Finally, think about any secondary services that you may need, such as childcare, massage therapists, or nutrition counseling. Many of these amenities will be included in your gym services, but often things like personal training will cost an extra fee. If you’re really looking to take your training and exercise abilities to the next level though, these extra fees are often well worth the cost involved.

Encouraging your children to become involved in sports is a worthwhile endeavour that will help your child stay fit, learn teamwork skills and appreciate the value of committment. If you want to help your child explore different sports that are of interest to them, for best results, start them in sports at a young age. If you live in an area that offers several types of sports, allow your child to experiment with several of them before choosing the ones that they enjoy the most. Do your best not to push your child into a sport that you’d prefer them to play. Even though it might be tempting to live your own dreams of being a star football player through the capabilities of your child, you’ll usually find that it’s most enjoyable when you allow your child the freedom to make their own choices.

Once your child chooses a sport, it’s now up to you to also mirror the commitment they have made by pledging to help them with transportation needs and uniform requirements. If they are still very young, it’s not likely that they will be able to get to practices and competitions on their own. Also, their budget probably cannot accommodate the tools and practice outfits that may be required by their sport. This is where you come in. Of course, you cannot realistically put your entire life on hold for the sake of your child’s involvement in sports, but there are certain things you can do to help ensure that you’re doing all you can to help your child stay focused on their chosen sport. If it’s not possible for you to consistently provide transportation, see if you can arrange for your child to catch rides to practice sessions with teammates who live nearby.

Finally, when it comes time for your child to compete, try your best to be supportive, no matter the outcome. Always resist the urge to compare your child to the abilities of their competitors. Ultimately, strive to give your child praise and respect when they put forth the required effort

Team sports has long been a favorite among Americans, and increasingly, the world. As more people participate in the growing pass-time of team sports and other activities that closely resemble such, there will be an increase in the knowledge of just how the team building aspect of these types of sports are so important to early development and overall growth of youth and even adults. Whether a city run team sports program helps keep a youth off the streets and prone to a life of crime, or poses as a facet in which a socially awkward adult can socialize; team sports is an important aspect of our society and culture.

In the overall development of the team that is participating in a specific sport, training is a vital component in bringing the team together and turning it into a cohesive machine in the game as well as out of the game. As the team participates in more training and practices with each other, they will become more familiar with how each person contributes, and learn to play off the knowledge they are picking up from one another. Additionally, spending increased amounts of time together helps to designate and create bonds of friendship and reinforce the team based concept.

In all, training for team sports is extremely important. Clearly, it helps increase the conditioning of the people involved, strengthening and making them better athletes. However, it also contributes to the cohesive factor within the team which will ultimately give them the potential to function well and feed off each other in the game.

As with most sports, team based sports are extremely competitive and at times, require a great deal of innovation to come out as the victor. The main reason for this is due to the fact that team sports incorporate many different components. The first and most obvious of these various components includes the diverse skill set of the players that make up the team. Each player must utilize their own specific skill in order to contribute to the team. Additionally, each skill set must be utilized at the right time in correlation with the various other skill sets that make up the team in order to be effective in accomplishing the common goal that the team seeks.

One way to accomplish such a goal and bring all of these elements together is through developing strategies. Strategies, or plays as they are commonly referred to in specific types of sports, are ways that players can cohesively meld with one another to develop a set of events that will lead to a common goal, typically scoring. Strategies are generally incorporated into the game during a pivotal point. Whether that point be an area in which the game is extremely close, and there is little time remaining and requires quick and precise action, or there is an ongoing problem that simply needs a quick and definitive remedy; strategies are an affective and important aspect of team based sports. Strategies can make or break a game that is close and on the brink of loss or win.

For many professional athletes, there are one or two coaches they have had in the past that have stuck in their mind for a number of reasons. Depending on the time in which they had a particular coach, whether on an Elementary School basketball team, or on a professional team, coaches can have a number of positive and long lasting effects on the players in which they coach. As players move from one coach to another, they take a part of what they learned from their previous coach with them, slowly getting molded by each individual that takes them under their wing throughout all aspects of their career.

Coaches take on a number of different roles for their players. Whether they play the role of a mentor to a particular player that looks up to them for their past accomplishments, or as someone to talk to during a rough time that they might be going through, coaches are a pivotal part of a player’s life. While in fact coaches remain an important aspect for a player as they advance through their career, no time is more evident in just how much of an effect a coach can have on a player as when they are just starting out. Due to this fact, many players from all walks of their career tend to remember a coach from the earlier era of their career. So when you find yourself admiring your favorite athlete, remember that a line of coaches helped play a role in making them what they are today.

These days it’s all about getting the competitive edge. With so many great athletes coming on to the scene and the technology of sports training and mass building growing every day it’s easy to understand why people sometimes choose the easy route to the top. For adults it is a personal choice, but when it comes to young athletes it’s important for their parents and coaches to stress the dangers of using performance enhancing drugs. The U.S. and other governments around the world have taken a hard line on performance enhancing drugs, outlawing them in any and all sports, but that does not always stop top athletes from breaking the law. The actions of professional athletes directly affects the way children perceive dangers of such drugs so it is the responsibility of the coaches and parents to know what there young athletes are doing. Here are just a few of the dangers of performance enhancing drugs.

Dangers of Performance Enhancing Drugs

1. Depression- Performance enhancing drugs change the chemical makeup of the body and that can cause depression in young adults whose hormones are already out of control. There has been documented studies since the late 80′s early 90′s on the clinical depression problems faced by users of steroids and drugs of the like.

2. Body Development- When young athletes are growing there bodies have a hard time handling the break down and rebuilding of their muscles. By introducing more chemicals that there muscles are not ready for when those muscles are still growing can cause catastrophic injuries and problems to the development of muscle tissue in the body.

3. Ethics- Using performance enhancing drugs is essentially cheating. This is not an attitude that should be fostered or condoned in any athlete or individual for that matter. By stressing the importance of fair play coaches can teach valuable lessons about steroids to young athletes.

Aside from their health risks, performance enhancing drugs are cheating and that is a value that should never be up held in sports.

These days, you can bet on just about anything online. While everybody is well aware that online casino games are prevalent, not everybody knows how easily you can go online and bet on just about any sport that anybody cares about enough to watch it in the first place. Gambling is just one more fun thing that you can do on the Internet while you should probably be doing something more productive.

But unlike watching silly YouTube videos and playing little flash games will not make you money, no matter how much you may win at those games or how many thumbs up you might get for a video you post. When you bet on sporting events, you have the opportunity to turn a little bit of money that you could probably afford to lose anyway (if worse comes to worst) anyway into a nice little side income.

When you sit there with your friends watching a sporting event, you would probably just take it in and enjoy watching the players do incredible (or incredibly stupid) things. But when you have money on an event, something really special happens. If you have ever heard someone ask to “make it interesting,” you know exactly how much the excitement of an already awesome game ratchets up when you have money on the line.

There are a few points you need to remember before you go placing bets online. First off, some sites do not pay, or take as long as humanly possible to pay out when you win. Never bet any money you cannot afford to lose. You should also be certain that you are placing your bets through a site that will allow you to do so — usually the kind which is not based in the U.S., or is based in a place where gambling is legal (such as Las Vegas or Atlantic City). With these things in mind, place bets and have fun.

Training is a fact of sports. Just like death and taxes are the only certainty in life, running in order to get in shape is a certainty in athletics. It doesn’t matter if you are the catcher on a baseball team or the goalie on a soccer team, running is going to be a fact of life. The important thing for coaches is to remember that running is a tool for exercising the mind and the body. Over running can cause developmental problems and under running can cause the team to be slow and out of shape. The key then is to find a happy medium between training to hard and not training hard enough. Here are a few running exercises meant to push the limits of players mental and physical abilities with out burning out there bodies.

Three Effective Running Exercises

1. Running Down Hill- Most coaches will have their players run up hill to build muscle, however, the most important aspect of running is the way the body is held while running. Running downhill requires the athlete to run with perfect form and control. Finding a road or street roughly 100 meters long and running 10 wind sprints down the hill with perfect form is great way to warm up.

2. Ladders- Ladders are running exercises that train sprinting ability as well as, the ability to stop and change direction quickly. Placing markers at 10 meters, 20 meters, 30 meters, 30 meters, and 50 meters; athletes should run to the first marker and back to the beginning, then to the second marker and back to the beginning, and on down the line to the 50 meters and back. This exercise will effectively train the athletes while not requiring so much running that their bodies aren’t recovering.

3. Short Sprints- Athletes who do not run long distances do not benefit from long running intervals because their bodies need to be trained for short bursts of speed. Therefore short 20 to 30 meter sprints are a great way to increase explosiveness in athletes.

Sometimes the difference between a good team and a great team is the bond of the teammates. With so many good athletes all over the world, getting the edge over the competition can often mean good team work. Some of the best athletes in their sports never accomplish getting to the top because of their lack of teamwork and camaraderie. Instilling the value of team in a group of men or women will create an atmosphere of dependence. A team that relies on one another knows the value of each player and thus can play to the their best abilities. Here are a few team building exercises that can help to create camaraderie among players.

Three Team Building Exercises

1. Take a Team Trip- Take the team out of town on a trip. Whether that be to a tournament or theme park, or sporting event. The idea is that when individuals being to spend more time together outside of sports they know each other better. They not only learn the intricacies of each teammate but also their likes and dislikes. The time together gives them time to focus on the team and bond together with out distractions.

2. Team Dinners- Team dinners once a week at a restaurant or coaches house creates the mentality that the team is a family. They play together, they work hard together, and they eat together. These are also good times to approach issues outside of sports and show an interest in the players lives.

3. Inspirational Talks or Movies- Going to see an inspirational talk or movie before important athletic events is an effective way to galvanize teams together and get them excited about a common goal.

Team building is essentially about showing the team that they are more than just a bunch of individual athletes, they are a family with a common goal.

Many young athletes may never play a professional or even collegiate level sport. That being said, it is important that they understand the importance of going to school and getting good grades. Because after school and club sports for youth take up so much of their time, it is important for the coaches to remember and implement techniques to ensure that their players are keeping up to date with their school work and getting good grades.

In the past, it was always seen as the parents and schools responsibility to provide adequate guidance in the education area, but as sports have become more comprehensive, so should the approach to coaching every aspect of the game. If young athletes want to play at the college level they will have to maintain a certain grades. Here are few techniques to help coaches help their players.

Tips to Help Coaches

1. Report Card Check- Every couple of weeks have the athletes bring in their report cards or grades so that the coach can check to make sure every one is getting their work done on time. If athletes are falling behind, then disciplinary action such as running or suspension from the team are a great way to show the importance of getting good grades.

2. Homework Help- Offer help or even a homework night where the team gets together and everyone finishes any school work that they have. This is an effective way to create camaraderie and keep an eye on school work.

3. Guidance- Instead of being so direct, maybe just asking a player how school is going, what they like and don’t like, and how they are doing. Showing interest can go a long ways.

As a coach it is important to understand the role and impact you have on your players. Showing the importance of grades will go a long way in their lives.

Flexibility is one the most important aspects of being an athlete. Flexibility allows an athlete to compete at the highest level. If athletes were not flexible they would be prone to injuries. Combining yoga with athletic training, coaches can get optimum performance out of their players.

Yoga is a training tool that combines focus, strength, flexibility, and breathing control all at the same time to create an atmosphere of perfect conditioning. By effectively utilizing yoga, coaches can ensure that their athletes will be in top shape and have little risk of injuring themselves. Here is a closer look at the benefits of using yoga in athletic training.

Benefits of Yoga for Athletes

1. Flexibility- Muscles are held together by tendons and ligaments. If these tendons and ligaments are not strong they will cause injury to the body during stressful, intense situations. Yoga is a great tool for strengthening those ligaments and tendons which will then stabilize the muscles.

2. Focus- One of the most critical aspects of yoga is focus. If the person doing yoga is not completely focused then the work out and poses will not be effective. There is nothing better for an athlete before competition or practice, but to empty their mind and clear it of all the days worries so that they can focus on the task at hand.

3. Breathing- Most people don’t know, but they don’t breathe correctly. Most people breathe through their chest and never allow their stomach to fully take a breath and inhale all the good oxygen into the body. Yoga utilizes breathing techniques during workouts that allow the body to concentrate on breathing correctly, which will in turn make the whole body healthier.

Yoga has been around for quite some time, but is a fairly new practice among the western world. By using yoga, coaches can help their players to be better prepared.

The news in recent years has featured many stories involving young athletes who have passed out during practice or even died. Adequate training is important to ensure teams that are performing at the highest level, however, over training those athletes can be detrimental to their health and development. Finding a happy medium at which to train players can make the difference between being a good coach and a great coach. Here are a few of the risks of overtraining young players.

Risk of Over Training Young Athletes

1. Dehydration- During games and athletic events, players exert a lot of energy and that energy heats up the body which is then released through sweating. When athletes sweat they lose water and become dehydrated. It’s easy for a coach to stay on top of how much their players are drinking during the game but wwhile the players are away it can be much harder. By keeping the players hydrated and allowing for multiple drink opportunities, plaueyers will be at less risk to become dehydrated.

2. Development Issues- By running young athletes to excessively at a young ages they can have problems later in life in development of their muscles. Overtraining can cause damage to muscles while in peak development stages. Allowing for plenty of breaks in between training intervals will allow muscles the time needed to cool down.

3. Moral- Overtraining can cause young athletes to lose morale. By creating an atmosphere of hard work and fun is a good way to effectively boost player morale.

Overtraining young athletes is an effective way to burn them out before they reach mature ages. By mixing fun and competition, with healthy habits, coaches can ensure their players will remain happy.
